Happy Earth Day!

Happy Earth Day everyone! Did you know the first Earth Day was celebrated 50 years ago? It was founded by Gaylord Nelson in hopes to bring awareness and show appreciation for the Earth’s environment.

Do any of you remember what Earth day was like as a child? We always had fun activities like Earth-related coloring pages or games at school or we got to do pretty cool things outside.

In high school, one of my favorite classes I ever took was Environmental Science despite how odd my teacher was. I definitely think that is when I had a better grip on reality when it came to real issues regarding the Earth. (Let’s keep it real, mother nature is definitely beautiful BUT there are some things on this Earth that scare the living crap out of me. For example, bugs. On a scale of 1-1000, my fear of bugs ranks at probably a 100,000,000. I just wanted to get that out there.)

I know I could probably be doing more to help but I am happy with what I have been doing thus-far!

Ideally, I didn’t want to have to use my car today but Isaiah was up for 6 hours straight. Not 1 nap and no sign of it. So, I had to go for a drive (it was a bit too windy and cold in the morning). He ended up falling asleep 5 minutes in. Later on, we went out again and went on an actual walk (that he also fell asleep on)! So, I thought I’d snap some shots of my walk and drive earlier!

Also, I really love how convenient my car seat canopy from My Little Baby Bug is. Mine is in the style Wyatt. It really is super lightweight and very easy to clean. I especially love it for times like this. It does the perfect job of blocking off potential onlookers, wind, and even the sun when he’s trying to nap! They have plenty more adorable baby items so definitely go check them out if you are in the market.

  1. Happy Earth Day! My parents have always been obsessed with the environment so I always grew up being extra careful and trying to keep my carbon footprint as low as possible. It’s great that you’re doing what you can- not everyone is able to do a lot for the environment but I think if we all do what little we can it’s still going to make a difference in the long run.
