Does anybody need a little bit more Fall in their life? I know I do. It’s getting closer but not close enough. Although it already feels like fall to me especially since I just decorated my apartment! Over the years I’ve become a fan of the dollar tree. I always had one really close to me and they are always stocked with all kinds of things from decorations to organizers and many more.
I came up with an idea to take a trip to the dollar store and see what DIY Fall decorations I can make for under 10 dollars. That was my budget for this project. I went in with a blind eye and no ideas in my head. This is what I’ve come up with! In total, the price of this project was just 5 dollars and it doesn’t get any easier than this.
What you’ll need:
- Mason jars
- Vase filler
- LED tealights
- Decorative mesh
Directions:
1. Take your decorative mesh and tie around the lip of your mason jar. I tied mine into a bow and a cool ring-like design but you can customize yours however you like!
2. Insert your vase filler of choice. Mine are fall colored glitter balls. (LOL!)
3. Lastly, turn on and insert your tealight and you have your super easy and cute DIY Fall lantern.
I’m really happy with the outcome especially since I didn’t even have it planned. I think this is such a cute idea and the lanterns even look romantic at night time or when the lights are dimmed.

Omg those are sooo cute! I love the dollar store especially for cute little decoration items like these- it’s so much cheaper and they have some really cute stuff!
