Our Fall Bucket List

As a young girl, I favored winter and summer. Now that I look back and think, I’m pretty sure I loved those seasons because of school breaks. There’s just something about fall that satisfies all my needs. Does that make sense?

I love being able to throw on a jean jacket or wear a cozy knit sweater. I love the cool breezy nights and some days filled with rain. I enjoy all the colors that come with it as well. Lets not forgot all of the wonderful flavors and ingredients that come out this time of year.

Fall is just the start of the holiday season and now they are even more special to me. I get to spend all of these beautiful and cozy moments with my boys together under one roof. My boyfriend and I came together and thought of our own personal bucket list and I definitely wanted to share with you guys and pass on the ideas. Make sure to let me know what you have planned this season in the comments below!

Visit a pumpkin patch

Is it really Fall if you haven’t taken your iconic picture with the infamous pumpkins? Lol! No, but seriously pumpkin patches are a great time for the whole family. Sometimes they even have warm apple cider or pumpkin donuts.

Go on a hayride

Hayrides are a classic that you can also usually find at pumpkin patches.

Go apple picking

Yes, I am allergic to apples but my family and friends aren’t!

Fright fest

This is a yearly tradition for me. Each year I’m even more scared than the last but that doesn’t stop me from visiting Six Flags in the fall. I also spoke about why it means so much to me in my Favorite Feelings post.

Carve pumpkins

I’m never successfully carved a nice pumpkin. It will be fun to see how creative everyone gets with their pumpkin designs.

Watch Halloween movies

If you know me, you know I’m scared of all things horror. My rule is no horror when I’m around. I do like to watch classic Halloween movies like Halloween Town or Hocus Pocus. My boyfriend on the other hand is horror obsessed. I told him I would give in and just watch 1 horror film this season. You know? Compromise!

Go on a hike

I’d love to just go out and take in the fresh air and beautiful scenery. I also love the feeling of accomplishment after doing a long hike.

Make pumpkin muffins

Yay pumpkin season! It has been my dream to bake my own delicious pumpkin muffins from scratch. I know, a little intense but I even added it on my vision board earlier this year. I finally got a ton of baking supplies so I’m ready for it! Not to mention the lovely aroma.

Visit a vineyard

I’ve never been to a winery but I really like wine. It would be cool to get a behind the scenes look and educate myself on different types of wine.

Have a picnic

I can’t remember the last time I’ve had a picnic. I just think fall is the perfect time to do so.

Ride bikes

My boyfriend and I have wanted to have a bike date for so long. I suggested one of those family bikes but he didn’t agree. Missing out! Ha! Just kidding, we would probably rent separate bikes and absolutely leave the baby with grandma.

Make s’ mores

This year I really want to try making s’mores with a Hershey’s Cookies and Cream Chocolate bar instead of typical milk chocolate. I’m SO excited. I wish I had some right now.

Jump in the leaves

Who doesn’t love the sound and feel of crunching fall leaves? I’ve done it ever since I was a little girl.

Make vegan chili

I’ve never made chili but I do plan to tackle it later this year. I think it will add just the right amount of comfort on a colder day. Why not make it vegan right? That way my boyfriend can enjoy it too.

Halloween painting

Art therapy has been so good to me. Painting always allows me to just calm down and erase any and all issues to just focus on the art (and in the moment). Adding a spooky season piece sounds just right.

Go fake trick or treating

Trick or treating has been banned. I’ve heard of so many creative stay at home trick o treating ideas that you can do with your family. I also just use any excuse to eat more candy. I can’t be the only one.

Eat candy corn

Do you like candy corn? Everyone I know hates it. I absolutely love it. I’m surprised I haven’t gotten myself a bag already.

Visit the dentist attraction

Okay, hear me out. It is w real dentist but it’s not what you think. There is a dentist’s office a few towns over from me that decorate their whole entire office. Literally, there are decorations on decorations on decorations. I even remember going each year when I was younger. This dentist’s office has gotten recognized by so many. They’ve even been on the news. It’s just cool to drive by and look at how insane everything looks.

Go to a haunted house

I really hate haunted houses. I agreed to one haunted house that rates barely to medium on the scare meter. That word compromise again!

Go to the park

I love taking family strolls through the park. Now Isaiah will be able to see the beauty of fall. It’s an easy way to do both exercise and family bonding.

Play more tennis

Did you see my boyfriend and me playing tennis on my YouTube channel? I don’t just want to play in the fall, I want to make it a long time hobby. It was literally the greatest workout and so much fun. My body was sore for a few days.

  1. Ooh these sound like so much fun! I love vegan chili so do share that recipe on your blog if possible because I will definitely be trying it out. I also really want to go to a vineyard too since there are so many amazing ones in Niagara.
