Household Movie Picks | Blogmas Day 17

“Maybe Christmas (he thought) doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas perhaps means a little bit more.” — Grinch

December is filled with bright and cheery lights, joyous tunes, and the best movies to cuddle in bed and watch with a cup of hot chocolate. A good movie can really brighten up your day. Today I’ll be sharing with you all the movies my boyfriend and I plan to watch this month!

The Year Without Santa Clause – The movie has great songs to sing along to. My boyfriend enjoys old cartoons and movies like this one.  Some of his favorite characters are Snow Miser and Heat Miser.

Jack Frost – It’s fun seeing a snowman come to life. When he was younger he used to think that if he built a snowman they would come to life.

The Grinch – The Grinch highlights real-life issues according to my boyfriend lol. I enjoy many things about this iconic movie but what I love the most is how spirited the town of Whoville is.

The Grinch - Seussville

Bad Santa – This movie is so hilarious to us. The amount of dry humor and sarcasm from Santa is everything (to adults of course).

The Chronicles of Narnia – This is 100 percent a boyfriend pick. Although it’s not necessarily a Christmas movie, the snow and the joy of the children make it the perfect holiday movie.

The Polar Express – Are you guys tired of me talking about this movie yet? This movie is so near and dear to my heart. I’ve loved it for as long as I can remember. My boyfriend watched it for the first time with me and we even got to experience the train ride in person. It truly was magical.

Home alone – I’m team first Home Alone as I’m sure most people are. It’s just a really good classic. The bf says he’s a fan of the third one with the new kid. Is anyone else a fan?

A Bad Moms Christmas – This is a personal favorite of mine. This is the type of movie I can only watch once a. They picked the perfect actresses to pull of this type of movie. I like it because even though some of the scenes are stupid it’s a sit there and laugh stupid.

Drop your favorite Christmas movies below!

  1. That’s a cool list! I love the Polar Express, but haven’t been able to watch it the last couple years. I was in the hospital with appendicitis and it made me cry with homesickness. I hope to be able to watch it again though. It’s a wonderful movie! I love both versions of Miracle on 34th Street, A Grandpa for Christmas, and Joyeux Noel though!

  2. I love A Bad Moms Christmas, such a good movie! Also, love Home Alone. I’ve seen odd bits of The Polar Express but finally, 2 years ago I sat down and watched the whole thing and really enjoyed it 🙂
