Merry Christmas! | Blogmas Day 25

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it! I hope everyone had a safe and fun day. But before I get on to the rest of my day I just want to acknowledge that just like that… it’s over. Blogmas is over! I’m so proud of myself because although I missed 2 days, I still found a way to put out a post every day. It’s a huge accomplishment for me. I usually can only manage to blog about 3 times a week. I run a household and take care of a tiny human so there is always something that needs to be done.

Thank you to everyone who has shown their continuous support towards my blog. It never goes unnoticed. Thank you to all of my new friends who have decided to join the blog fam during Blogmas. Welcome! I hope you’ll enjoy your time here on TianiAngela in the future as well. Lots of new stuff to come!

This year instead of buying people gifts, I decided to do something even more special and make the gifts with love. Last night I stayed up and baked 3 different types of homemade cookies. I made sugar cookies, chewy gingersnap cookies, and M&M chocolate chip cookies. It took me hours to complete everything but it was so worth it. So far my only taste tester was my boyfriend and he gave them a thumbs up. I cannot wait to give them to my loved ones.

In the middle of cookie baking (literally at midnight), Santa Clause came to my apartment! My boyfriend came home in a Santa suit and really surprised us both. I was surprised Isaiah stayed up that late but he was and he was terrified. Guess it’s a good thing we never signed up to take pictures with Santa. It was such a cute gesture though. It was the glasses for me.

*Fast forward to Christmas morning* Isaiah was so excited to see that we had the same pajamas as him. He couldn’t believe it! It was so funny to see him mesmerized while feeling both of our shirts. My smart little guy. We had breakfast, opened gifts, and got to take a cute family photo.

For Christmas dinner I didn’t want to go overboard but I did want to make sure that I included my grandmas staples for sure. I made rice and peas, steak, baked mac and cheese, stuffing, and spinach. I was so exhausted by the end of cooking that I didn’t really eat much. I just wanted to lay in the couch. That’s where I’m writing this post from!

Well that’s all for today. I’m going to spend the rest of the night with my family. This weekend instead of posting, I’ll be able to catch up with all things WordPress. So until then, talk soon and enjoy the rest of your holiday! Happy Kwanzaa to all those who celebrate it!
