Remembering The Martin Luther King Memorial

Today is the day that honors the achievements of Martin Luther King Jr. A man who has helped shape American History by fighting to end racial segregation.  As a tribute to him, I thought I’d share some old photos of the time I visited the Martin Luther King Memorial in San Francisco, California. It was a memorable and peaceful time that I wont forget.

“An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.”

Martin Luther King Jr.

“Like anybody, I would like to live a long life. Longevity has its place. But I’m not concerned about that now. I just want to do God’s will; and he’s allowed me to go up to the mountain. And I’ve looked over and I’ve seen the Promise Land. I may not get there with you; but I want you to know tonight that we, as people, will get to the Promise Land.”

“I believe that the day will come when all God’s children from bass black to treble white will be significant on the constitution’s keyboard.”
