Wake Up With Me — My Morning Routine!

Good morning everyone and rise and shine! I hope you all had a good sleep. I’ve been wanting to do a post like this for a pretty long time. The title has been in my drafts since November 20th, 2018 (7:20 AM) to be exact. I hope you enjoy! Here is how our Tuesday morning went.

4:45am

Isaiah woke up unexpectedly. He usually wakes up anywhere from 8 am to 9 am. He stopped taking bottles in the “night” and for the most part, he goes back to sleep without it. But, I could tell that this time he wasn’t going back to sleep without one. So I changed his diaper while we waited for the formula to warm.

After feeding him he went to sleep within like 5 minutes. My little baby just needed some milk and a little TLC. While he was sleeping, I decided to plan for the rest of my day. Some of the things on my to-do list included:

  • Moisturize my hair
  • Indoor workout
  • Take Poshmark pictures
  • Clean up
Let’s hope I get it done…

Now its time for me to try and go back to sleep! Although, I probably won’t. I’ll just lay down and scroll through my phone until its time to get up again.

So, I didn’t end up going to sleep but I was hungry so I made some breakfast. Of course, Isaiah woke up while I was cooking. He always seems to know when I’m doing something that doesn’t include him. And let me tell you, he doesn’t approve. I gave him some toys, put on some Mickey Mouse and finished making my breakfast.

I made a crispy fried egg, 2 sausage patties, and a Paw Patrol waffle. No, I usually don’t get Paw Patrol waffles but the supermarkets were literally wiped out and this is what they had left. I’m definitely not complaining though because that breakfast was delicious!

I also tried a new tea that was gifted to me as well as took a vitamin C pill. I mixed the Organic Elderberry tea with mint and it was absolutely wonderful! I’m definitely gonna be incorporating it into my everyday morning routine.

After I happily fed myself, it was time to feed Isaiah his breakfast. He had a bottle of formula, a bowl of rice cereal, and for the first time, sweet potatoes! He really enjoyed it (okay, I kinda did too).

8:00 am

img_7925Now its time for me to get myself ready for the day. I washed my face with my holy grail products which are the Neutrogena Acne Stress Control Triple-Action Toner and Power Cream Wash. Followed by the Lift & Luminate Day Cream by No7. I am looking for a new moisturizer and other skin routine tips, so let me know what you do to make your skin glow!

Then, I got dressed. I didn’t put on anything fancy, just some workout leggings and a T-shirt to help push me to do my indoor workout later. I did my hair and voila that’s basically what a morning at home with us is like. At the moment, at least.

  1. Omg your son is soooo adorable!!!

I really like using rosewater for my skin. My skin is kind of sensitive so I try to keep the products to a minimum and I feel like rosewater is a lot more natural and is really effective. It helps stop my face from getting dry/oily which I really like.

  2. Aw cute paw patrol waffles ! I had some paw patrol fruit snacks once , they were pretty good . I know last time I went shopping at the grocery store people stripped the shelves except for these peanut butter ceral bars , so I grabbed them and they were amazing ☺️

  3. My new favorite “survival” food is the cinnamon toast crunch brand churros cereal. Everyone hates it and its one of the only cereals left on the shelves in my neighborhood . But its pretty good ☺️
