Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by! I haven’t done one of these posts in a while so I thought I’d share what a week in my life looks like. Granted this was literally 2 weeks ago… but it was in my drafts and screaming to be shared!
Sunday
‘Twas a wonderful morning of adulting. I woke up early in able to get my laundry done in a timely manner. Although I love my new home, it doesn’t have a laundry set up, and that’s the only thing it’s missing. That would save me a trip on Sundays. That’s okay though, it gives me time to decompress in a way while I get out of the house. If that makes sense. After doing my laundry, I took a trip to visit my brother and got to see the OG dawg, Dallas! A little dog therapy never hurt anybody. Sundays are my go-go-go days so after hanging out with my brother for a couple of hours, I went back home to get some well-needed cleaning done, spent time with the boys, cooked dinner, and prepared for the week. What a day!

Monday
Happy Monday… says no one ever. Today was a work day so of course I got up early and hauled myself off to work for 8 hours. During that time I received a mischievous picture of Isaiah lol. What was he up to you may ask? Probably mischief. After work, I went home and cooked dinner. On this day we had mac and cheese, garlicky broccoli, and pan-seared chicken for dinner. It was quick but came out delicious!
Tuesday
Another work day you guys. So you know how that goes. I was expecting a package today so that was my biggest focus. I have an event this weekend that I am super excited for! I also posted a TikTok today. Follow me on TikTok to see how I’d look as a Disney character!
Wednesday

Happy hump day! We made it to the halfway mark. Wednesdays are bittersweet for me because I get to wake up later but that also means coming home from work later. On this particular morning, I was feeling this new app (new to me) called Lemon8 so I decided to sign up! Not sure if you’re into Pinterest or Reddit, but it reminds me of the two of those combined. Follow me on Lemon8 for future posts! Besides that, I tried the BEST birria tacos I’ve ever had in my life. It was so good, that I forgot to take a picture. However, if you’re in Jersey, look up El Jardin’s best birria and you won’t be disappointed. I promise.
Thursday
Friday jr has arrived and I couldn’t be happier! I look forward to Thursdays because not only do I get a chance to stop by and visit my family, but I also get to meet with my therapist who has helped me so much this year. I always recommend therapy to everyone whether you have something going on or not. It can be beneficial to have an outside perspective on things and have someone to talk to.

Friday
TGIF! Friday was pretty eventful. I was surprised at work with beautiful flowers from my brother which was pretty cool. I love a good surprise especially when there’s no reason and it’s just from the heart. Isaiah also surprised me today with how smart he is! Every day that passes he becomes brighter and brighter. He wrote out his name on his own and randomly spelled the word dog. I was so happy I could’ve cried. To finish off the night, my family and I met up to celebrate my not-so-little nephew’s 21st birthday! I usually stink at bowling but on this day I won a game that was both surprising and exciting.

Saturday
Lastly, Saturday. The day I have been waiting for. I started my day at the salon to get my hair done. I was excited to see how much my hair had grown since I hadn’t flat ironed it in years. Even with the trim, I was so pleased with the length and style I ended up choosing. It was a plus that my hair appointment happened to be on the same day as the Gala. After that, my mom and I went to the nail salon to get some last-minute mani pedis. We got our eyebrows threaded too and that’s always a little painful. Anywho, before we knew it, it was time to get to the event. It was a gala to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness. It was important to me that I go since my mother has just recently beat breast cancer herself. It was very informative and so much fun.

Hope you enjoyed the highlights of my week. Hope everyone had a great one as well! Who’s ready for November?
