What colleges have you attended?
I really enjoy the fact that WordPress gives us prompts now. Sometimes there are days where I dont have any post ideas or anything scheduled at all. I wanna take advantage of these prompts for the new year so that I can get my momentum back. I love blogging and this has always been such a good outlet for me. So, let’s get into it!
During Highschool
During high school, I always knew I wanted to be in the medical field. Heck, my whole life I told myself I wanted to be a part of the medical field. My whole family thought I was going to be a part of that field. I had dreams of being a nurse practitioner or a pediatrician. During college days at school, I would gravitate toward the stands that offer some type of nursing program.
I saw 3 different colleges I was interested in and that was William Paterson University, Montclair State University, and Felician University. I got to see all 3 of the colleges in person and applied to them as well.
Getting Into College
I was accepted into William Paterson first, Felician second, and got waitlisted to Montclair State. I was ecstatic because I got into the schools of my choice. I was unsure of what to do but after I got to do a sleep-in visit at one of the schools, I knew that school was the one.
Where I Attended
I chose Felician University! It was a good catholic school with morals and values. All of the staff were kind and truly cared about their students. A big part of that was the size of the school and that’s another reason why I chose it. It’s a smaller setting and that’s what I needed. I needed to know that my professors would actually know my name or could actually answer my questions.
I went into the semester as a nursing student for about a year and a half or 2 years. It was a challenging 2 years. I wasn’t sure if I could keep up but I did my best. As soon as I had to take a needle and stab it into something, I knew this was not going to be the right profession for me. I hate needles!
Eventually, I switched my major to communications because I figured that would be better suited for my personality. I enjoyed the classes, especially public speaking. I flourished in that class being able to stand up in front of a class and give speeches.
Then, I took a tiny little break and changed my major again. This time I wanted to become a preschool teacher. At the time, I was working in a preschool setting and I loved it. It just seemed right. But, during my field placement at a special needs school, I found out I was pregnant and I had to give up school completely. This was because of how sick I was. You can read more about my pregnancy here. It was a good ride and I enjoyed every second of college. I would do it again if I could. God gave me a wonderful son and that makes up for it all.
So the answer is, I attended Felician University but never finished. I do have hopes of finishing again in the future possibly with a business degree but only the Lord knows!
What college did you attend and what was that like for you?

Nice post! I like the prompts to they’re helpful and you can save them as a draft if you want to schedule one for later.
I fell you on the “morning sickness.” I had to stop working too
