My Small Joys:

Solo Car Eats

I rarely eat out these days. I’m always home trying new recipes or making healthy meals for my little guy. So whenever I get the chance to indulge in something fried or greasy I take it and run. Literally.

I’ll usually turn my car off, put Netflix on my phone, and go to town. This is one of my favorite ways to relax without having to worry about feeding my baby or trying to get his tiny hands out of my food.

Buying Things for My Home

Lately, it’s rare if I ever buy myself anything. I’m okay with that but whenever I do get to buy stuff I like to put it towards our apartment. I love doing whatever I could to make it homier. Whether that’s the decor, kitchen appliances, or even potpourri. I just uploaded a Marshall’s haul over on my YouTube channel. Make sure to go check that out!

Coming Home to a Clean Apartment

I mean who wouldn’t be happy about coming home to a clean home? Sometimes I have really busy days and I don’t have the energy or the time to clean up. That’s when my boyfriend swoops in and picks up the slack. I love it!

Planning and Organizing

I’m obsessed with planning and organizing things. My planner is my everything. I’m a very visual person so I like to write and doodle all though out the day. I also having fun turning a mess into an organized success (lame I know).

When Isaiah Says, Mama

It melts my heart when I hear my son say the words mama. It’s extra special because it’s not often I get to hear it. He says everything but mama. Dada is his favorite word.

Getting A Package

I feel like a child opening a present every time I get a package. Even if I already know what it is I’m still usually really excited to get it. Especially since I don’t get packages often. A good package always brightens my day. The last one I received was from Influenster!

Girls Night

I enjoy the company of my best girlfriends. Whenever we’re together it’s never anything but good vibes. We don’t even need much, just each other, a comfy spot, and snacks to munch on.

Fall

Okay, you guys know by now that I’m too obsessed with Fall. I just love the atmosphere and vibes of fall. The weather is just the way I like it, not burning hot and not unbearably cold. I’m also a cardigan kind of girl so this is when I bring them out. Keep an eye out for them on my Instagram.

Family Cuddle Sessions

I am so grateful to be able to be under the same roof as my boys. We get to hop on the couch together and just relax, talk, or sometimes watch a game. These are the moments I will cherish always.

Cooking New Foods

Since getting my own kitchen I’ve been so experimental in the kitchen. There is no greater feeling than tasting your hard-earned work. The finished dish is always so worth it! Soon I want to start learning how to bake more things from scratch. First up, muffins!

Rain

I get a lot of heat for this but I truly do love the rain. I thrive in rainy weather. I don’t know what it is. I love listening to the rain thump against the windows. I like hearing the sound of the rain going down the drain. I love the feeling of being cozy and wrapped up inside while it rains just out the window. I could go on and on.

Having a Full Tank of Gas

How do I sign up to win free gas for the rest of my life? Is there a contest for that? I love it when my car has a full tank of gas. Feels brand new. I know people who always need to have a full tank or nothing less than half. Not me though. I can let my tank get nearly close to empty. I’ve always done this since I was 17. I just get the gas when I need it. Ha! That’s why having a full tank is great.

Me Time

My mom would give anything to spend time with her grandson. She insists she takes him so that I have some Tiani time. She will take Isaiah for the day while I get to catch up on rest, clean up, or do whatever it is I have to do. Now that I mention it, I haven’t had one of these days in a while.

Painting

I’ve always been into art. Nowadays art is a therapy for me. The best thing about it is completely blocking everything out and only having to think about what color to dip your brush in. It’s also been nice to see my art hung up on the walls.

Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice

I love everything pumpkin. Everything feels all warm inside when I have a pumpkin-flavored treat. It’s also another reminder of my favorite season. The first treat I want to make from scratch will be pumpkin muffins. I also got these cute fall zip lock bags with pumpkins on them so my family and friends can try them too.
