We are at the time of year we all come together and give thanks although we should be giving thanks all year round. Today I’m going to give you a few ideas on how to show gratitude. They may come off as obvious to some but I just wanted to put out a little reminder. Now let’s get right into it.
1. Create a gratitude group chat
My brother recently suggested in our family group chat that every morning we each text something that we are grateful for. We plan to go as long as we could. It’s been really nice seeing those kind words as soon as I wake up.
2. Call grandma every night
Okay, it doesn’t necessarily have to be every night and it doesn’t have to be your grandma. Take a few minutes out of your day to call someone up and let them know how much they mean to you. Every night (almost) my son and I call my grandma so she can sing to him. It means so much to all of us and I am so grateful to be able to start this tradition with them.
3. Write it down
Another easy way to express gratitude is by starting a gratitude journal or even jotting something down in the notes app on your phone. Each day or whenever you need to write down what it is that you’re grateful for. Simple. Easy as that!
4. Send a quick text
Not a writer or a speaker? Then send a cute little text! My favorite thing to do is randomly sending someone a cute Bitmoji of myself or even a meme. It’s just a light-hearted way of thinking about someone.
5. Be positive
Lastly, being positive is a great way to show that you’re grateful. For the most part, your energy and vibe will reflect that. It’s so easy to get lost in all the crazy. Sometimes I just need to sit down look around and thank God for what I do have.
I hope everyone enjoyed this post and is feeling encouraged to express some gratitude. What are some ways you show that you’re grateful? Leave it in the comments below!

Sending quick texts works magic. I adopted this practice and I find it brings joy to those in your network family and friends alike. Makes them happy and in turn you become happy and grateful for their gift.

I think it’s so easy to look at the negative stuff going on but it takes a lot of effort to be grateful. I think it’s so important to be grateful though. Writing down what I’m grateful for helps me a lot- that way I can read it when I’m having a bad day and it cheers me up.
