Lush Cosmetics Review

Are you looking for something to help you destress? Something fun to help take the edge off? If so, then stick around. This review might be for you. Hi everyone, it’s time for another product review! I recently visited a store called Lush for the very first time. I was pleasantly surprised by all of the goodies they had and by how friendly the staff was.

I absolutely hate going to the mall but I was so desperate for a last-minute outfit that I had to go forage. After walking for hours from store to store (after a shift), I felt like my back was literally going to fall off. I had no intentions on checking this store out but I’m so happy that I did.

I went in with zero knowledge of the store other than they sell bath bombs. I knew what a bath bomb was but I’ve never bought or actually used one before. I was always very fascinated by the videos of the colorful bath bombs bubbling throughout the water. Since I have very sensitive skin, I was hesitant on allowing myself to sit in who knows what and possibly break out or get a rash.

Some questions I had:
What are the main ingredients used?
Is it recommended for sensitive skin?

Lush is a handmade cosmetics store that sells bath products, body products, hair products, and more. They pride themselves on being 100% vegetarian and making their products handmade. They are cruelty-free and are even conscious when it comes to their packaging! You can check out their website to find out more about their environmental values.

All I had to do was give the kind sales associate a brief description of my ideal relaxation night, my favorite smells, and what I’m looking to get done and she took it from there. She picked out a few things for me as well as added a few sample-sized products for my boyfriend and me to try.

Fun fact: Their black pots are reusable so you can bring them back to the store and use them again.

Intergalactic

Bath bomb

The first item she picked out for me was this fun neon-colored galaxy-themed bath bomb. She picked this one because it matched my minty preference. This one uses peppermint, grapefruit, and cedarwood oils. I think it all works really well together. I do wish the scent was a little stronger though. I love a good scent so I get a little upset when it goes away quickly. I must say, my skin felt pretty smooth after my bath and I had no sign of a breakout or rash. The only thing I realized was that my skin was extra glittery (the glitter is plastic-free so it won’t harm waterways). So if you’re not into the sparkle then this one isn’t for you.

Magic Crystal Scrub

This magical purple scrub is EVERYTHING to both my boyfriend and me. I called it a treat because of how good it felt after such a long day. The scent is very invigorating which I enjoy. I feel like it really penetrates the skin as I slowly massage the scrub onto my body. My boyfriend said that not only did it feel really good but it left his body feeling extra clean and fresh. In this scrub, you’ll probably notice it has notes of peppermint, spearmint, rosemary, and sage mixed with Epson and sea salts.

*This is a bestseller on the site!

Dirty Springwash Shower Gel

Dwayne used this one solely. He typically will use an Old Spice shower gel but he said he would much rather prefer this option from Lush. His favorite part about it was the everlasting lingering smell that it left. I must say, he did smell fine. 😉 You’ll get notes of spearmint and thyme as well as some exfoliation from the fine sea salt.

Is it mom approved?

I advise not only moms but dads, grandmas, uncles, cousins, and everyone to go check out Lush if you can. The products aren’t too expensive and they feel amazing on the skin. I love how creative and fun the selection is. I felt like a kid in the candy store. Another thing I enjoyed was reading more about their values and what they stand for.

As always, thanks so much for reading! Questions, comments, and feedback are always welcome. If you enjoyed this post, please comment, like and share! Make sure to check out my Instagram; @tianiangela_ and my latest video on YouTube💋

  1. I absolutely LOVED using Lush when I was in England! That’s good that it’s not too expensive over in North America though. I actually had to budget carefully for Lush products in London, but granted, life in general is expensive there, but it’s interesting to see the difference.
