Hey everyone and welcome back to my blog! You know, the one where I write about mental health, lifestyle, and motherhood. I feel like I totally slacked on the mental health part. That’s what I built this blog on! I’ll never forget it. So I wanted my (technically) first post back to reflect that. In today’s post, I’ll be sharing some ways that I find helpful in my everyday life. These small steps have been leading up to better days and those are what I live for.
1. Fabulous App

Sometimes we can’t just get up and do things. Sometimes we need that extra push or someone to hold our hand. There’s nothing wrong with that. If anything applause is needed for even considering the fact that it’s time to get it together. I randomly came across this app that was too fabulous to pass up. It’s actually called Fabulous App! It’s an app that walks you through every step of the way to the ideal life that you want for yourself.

You start by taking a personalized quiz that asks about important things like your energy levels, exercise habits, and sleep schedule. This will help the app personalize your unique journey which I like. We’re all on our phones anyway, so why not start with a plan that’s in the palm of your hand? That’s what I like about it. The app has beautifully made visuals and it looks like it was made with care. With that being said, I did feel overwhelmed at some points because a lot seemed to be going on. They also get you with a price of I think $39 for the year after the quiz. You can use free features on the app or do a 7-day free trial before switching to premium. Overall, I like the app. I especially like how it sends you motivational notifications. Those are always fun to see!
2. Switch up Your Music
If you’re anything like me, music is a big part of your life. For me, I associate certain songs with different memories or I use music as a way to calm down or even hype me up. Music can be used for many different reasons. Recently I’ve made a switch in the type of music I constantly listen to and it wasn’t because I was tired of it. Yea the songs I was listening to have good beats and are top hits but the lyrics weren’t speaking to me at all. I also didn’t want Isaiah casually listening to tarnishing lyrics on a daily and I couldn’t stand to listen to children’s music on our car rides every single time.
So we switched to worship music and it was one of the best decisions ever for me. The station I listen to is called K Love. Not only do they play great songs with great beats but the words speak to me. The show hosts are also super encouraging and easy to listen to. I’ve realized a big change in my attitudes in the morning since listening to K Love. Look out for a future post where I share some of my favorite worship songs.
3. Bible App
As you can see, I’ve been quite taken with the Lord. The Lord has been a big help with me getting myself together. I’ve always known of this app. I used to have it a while back but I’m not too sure what happened. Anyway, I have it now and it’s not going anywhere. For me, I can be having a bad day and I look to this app for quick words of encouragement and it delivers. I remember one day at work, I was so close to having somewhat of a mini breakdown due to being overwhelmed, and right at that moment, I got a notification for the Verse of the Day. It was exactly what I needed to hear at that moment. It was like a miracle. I was able to snap back so quickly after reading it. I love how you could go back and see verses which whichever day.

4. Drink Water
This is pretty simple. Keep drinking water! I used to suck at drinking water while I was home. I always had my iced tea available to me at all times and I have very little willpower (working on it). Since working, I drink water every day throughout the day. I could be drinking more but it’s a good start. I get these really exciting water messages (I won’t share because it’s kinda vulgar lol) that make me feel forced to take a sip of water. I was noticing I would start getting dehydrated way more often and I was a lot more aggravated and uncomfortable. Dehydration can be hurtful to your mental health as well. How much water are you drinking a day?
5. Cut Negativity Out of Your Life
It’s never too late to want better for yourself. That includes getting rid of the things that could potentially be bringing you down. Whether it be a letter, a toxic relationship, or even comparing yourself to others Let it go. Why continue to hold the added weight if you dont need to?

6. Set Yourself up for the Win
At the end of the day, when we are ready, we have control of our mind and body. We should always choose to better ourselves. Start by setting achievable goals for yourself and writing them down somewhere safe. Think further and set long-term goals as well as manifest what you want for the future. Use this as motivational fuel to get you going. I just got my brand new planners for the upcoming year and writing in it made me so excited to get things done. That’s one of the best parts about writing things down.
I’m still a work in progress but the progress that has been made so far will always be something to be proud of. As should everyone you all! Progress is progress and it shows strength and that you’re trying. Have you been trying your best? What works for you?

As always, thanks so much for reading! Questions, comments, and feedback are always welcome. If you enjoyed this post, please comment, like and share! Make sure to check out my Instagram; @tianiangela_ and my latest video on YouTube💋

I remember downloading an app to help me keep track of my calories , I kept forgetting to eat and I would get all spacey. So yeah sometimes those reminder apps really help .

These are all really great points! one things I really struggle with is staying hydrated and I know I don’t drink as much water as I should. I’ve really tried working on this but it’s been a struggle. I try to drink about a liter a day but most days I drink like 500-750ml which is definitely not enough.
