Happy New Year!

Hello there, all of you lovely people! I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday season as much as I did. I couldn’t have asked for a better turnout despite feeling so physically shitty the past month and a half. I was surrounded by my family and tons of good food. It doesn’t get any better than that. I even made the Jamaican Pepper Steak this year (it’s usually my grandma) and it was a hit! That bumped my chef’s ego all the way up, lol. Aside from that, I’m so excited about 2023 and what it’s going to offer.

I can’t leave my lack of posting completely unaddressed. Thank you to everyone for their well wishes while I was sick. I know, I missed a good amount, but life happens and I think that’s okay. I had a lot going on but I feel it has helped me prepare for a completely fresh start, ya know. I did however manage to post one video on Youtube which I’m super happy about. I’ll of course leave it below. Check it out if you want to hear more of me blab. ☺️

Anywho, I want to enter the new year positively and not be so focused on the what ifs, or why nots. So, I wanted to list some of my wins this year because why not pat myself on the back? We should be a lot kinder to ourselves.

My Wins of 2022

I was able to get back in the swing of blogging. I’m so proud of myself for starting to write again despite how long it took me. Even if it’s not online or for the public. I’ve found comfort in just letting my words out.

Looking back at this year, I made a lot of new memories with my family. I’m grateful to have been able to do that. Especially so that my son knows the importance of family.

I keep impressing myself with these delicious meals I whip up. This year I was able to cook a lot of great meals for myself and my loved ones as well as learned some new food spots that I can’t wait to keep trying! I show a lot of love through food, so I really enjoy it when I can happily fill people’s bellies.

A few months ago I was able to participate in an interactive mindset challenge with a great performance coach that has since changed the way I think about how my life works. I will say that this was one of the best things I could have ever done for myself.

This is the year I truly started practicing my faith again and it’s been wonderful. I’ve also introduced prayer to Isaiah which he gets a kick out of at night time. I love to see it!

These were just some of the things I am proud of this year. These were the things that made it a great year. Yes, this year also had its failures and extreme downs but I’ve never felt more prepared for the next year than I do right now. So 2023 here I come! Thank you so much to everyone for their support, always. I hope you all have a wonderful night and a Happy New Year! May it be a very blessed one. ✨🎊
